And Now For Something Completely Different...

I’ve never been a big fan of second-guessing officials, except these seemed to be guessing all night, usually incorrectly, particularly on the replay of Minnesota’s last touchdown, when Tow-Arnett appeared to fumble after landing on his back -- ground can’t cause a fumble, right? -- after which Troy Stoudermire snagged the loose ball out of mid-air and completed the 59-yard score.

After further review, the play stands.

You make the call, because after the series of missteps, on reversals and non-reversals which baffled press-box wags all night, it was clear these guys had trouble with it.

Ummmmmm........WHAT!!!!!!?????????

I was somewhat buying into this guy's article until this idiotic comment.

- Stoudamire snagging the loose ball for the score? No. Not close. Not only was he not paying attention during the game as this comment illustrates, but he didn't even check the box score before posting incorrect facts about the biggest play of the game.

- Ground can't cause a fumble?
- Cool, with you there buddy. Except wait, hang on a minute. This is further proof that you couldn't have been watching this game.

You also have to have possession of the football to be ruled a fumble. And until he hit the ground, there wasn't possession established. So since there was no posession, there inherently can't be a fumble. And since there is no fumble, Tow-Arnett was never down. And since he was never down, neither was the football, which popped right into the arms of Bennett.

In a night of questionable calls and sketchy replay reviews this was one of the only clear cut decisions that could not be debated.

Is David Mayo Elton John's brother?

Also, love your MP reference.

Thank the fb gods that Minny only has one D1 program in the state...those UM/MSU haters make the GH board look like Sunday School.
