A lot of high-impact games for an opening weekend, including 11 head-to-head Power 5 matchups. Games involving FCS opponents are excluded.

Don when is the pick em starting? i need some college football in my life

LSU at Wisconsin is a lose/lose situation. As much as I despise the Badgers, I'm equally tired of the SEC. It's a must watch but my emotions will be so conflicted! As of right now, I think I'm going to root for a Badger win. Beating Wisconsin later in the year will be all the more enjoyable (please Lord, we are due!).

B1G Opening Week: Rating the 14 Games

Level of interest. Thoughts?

Opponents' 2015 record noted in parentheses.

1. Wisconsin vs. LSU (9-3) -- B1G vs. SEC in a B1G friendly stadium. Rare opportunity for conference.
2. Rutgers @ Washington (7-6) -- Expected B1G cellar dweller vs. trendy national sleeper.
3. Western Michigan (8-5) @ Northwestern -- Looking for an upset? Broncos and WR Corey Davis might have the goods.
4. Oregon State (2-10) @ Gophers -- Gophers getting some preseason love, must bag a Power 5 win here.
5. Bowling Green (10-4) @ Ohio State -- Falcons scored a lot of points last year but were thumped 58-27 in bowl game.
6. Indiana @ Florida International (5-7) -- Because it's a road game we'll put it in top half.
7. Miami-Ohio (3-9) @ Iowa -- How will Hawkeyes handle big expectations?
8. Fresno State (3-9) @ Nebraska -- The pickings start getting slim here, though Bulldogs have name recognition.
9. Hawaii (3-10) @ Michigan -- The Harbaugh factor puts this ahead of those below.
10. Kent State (3-9) @ Penn State -- Who else would like to see whining Wonderboy James Franklin take one on the chin?
11. Murray State (3-8) @ Illinois -- I like the Lovie Smith hire. Interested to see if it works out in Champaign-Urbana.
12. Furman (4-7) @ Michigan State -- Tyler O'Connor gets a warm-up game and a Week 2 bye before heading to South Bend.
13. Eastern Kentucky (6-5) @ Purdue -- The last half-year of the Darrell Hazell era starts here.
14. Howard (1-10) @ Maryland -- Howard? Really? WTH, Maryland.

Followers @Fieldof68Freak are welcome.

I normally wouldn't watch a Wisconsin game, but I'm interested in seeing how two Offensive Coordinators that practice against Dave Aranda's 3-4, attack it. I suspect that video of that game will be in very high demand.

Predict the Score is counting down. Too early to post it yet.

Great to hear that you're doing it again this year but it is sad though to see that your advertising budget is again piss poor. You would think you could at least afford your own string! Since you are so poor a I am buying the beers.:drink:

Is there any chance that the Oregon State game gets moved to one of the ESPN channels? Seems like a better game than both FIU/Indiana & Tulane/Wake and maybe at the same level of South Carolina/Vanderbilt.

very excited to watch LSU Wisky and Alabama USC, and of course the inevitable upset watches, Fresno Nebraska? Iowa struggling with Miami? Always fun to switch over to those games.

I agree. A B1G vs. PAC12 matchup is much better than these games.

I don't think ESPN can just take the game away from the BTN.
