106 miles from Philadelphia is where Brian Billick still resides in the city of Baltimore. Remember the horton smoke screens conversation, why else would he land so class to a serious candidate? He has been waiting to get back into coaching, and he has said he needs a job where he feels wanted.

"What am I going to do, work for Al Davis? Not going to work. Out of respect for Mr. Davis, I don’t think we would work well together. Why would I put myself in that situation? The people that I would go back to work with, that would want me to work for them, creating the right partnership, because that’s what it is. Ozzie Newsome and I had an incredible partnership."

The reason for the wait was to see if the Vikings or Cowboys had interest, but they look to be going forward with Frazier and Garrett.

The other reason could be because Billick needed to hire coordinators so he went to the college ranks, and he needed the season to be to announce.

I would be shocked if he came back to college. Quite honestly, I think he enjoys his current gig and is waiting for another NFL job, if that. He hasn't been a college coach in almost 20 years.

Way to arrogant to demean himself down to the college level. He wouldn't feel grateful for the job.

He was on with Danny B right after Brew got fired and he said something to the effect that Minnesota needs a young, hungry coach with a passion for recruiting and he said that wasn't him at that point in his career. A lot can change between now and then, but it's not as if Super Bowl winning coaches are beating down our door.

Go Gophers!!

Whoever it was, they were coaching yesterday, so take your pick.
