Was Hollins' HS GPA of 4.8 a typo? I know it's possible to have higher than a 4.0 GPA, but at my school one that high would've been impossible.
 

Some schools have 5-point grading scales. Either scale (4 or 5), that's impressive.

A 4.8 GPA usually means a student took a lot of advanced classes. Those classes are on the 5 point scale.

At my school, the advanced classes just added .3 value to the grade. So if you got an A you'd get a 4.3. That's why I was confused.
