and some other notes, per Amelia:

Julian Welch will probably be getting “more and more minutes” after the guard’s 10-point, 7-assist, 0-turnover performance on Saturday, Taylor said. The Gophers are trying to use Andre Hollins off the ball more and so will be relying more heavily on either Welch or Maverick Ahanmisi (or both). “Julian’s playing like he was playing last year and that’s the type of Julian we know he can be,” Taylor said.

Go Gophers!!

As a fan, if you notice a player doing the "Little Things" , that means the little things really are big things. Everyone wants points scored... No one notices "little things" because they do not see the big picture.

Glad welch had a nice game against Penn. State. But it was Penn. State. welch has struggled against more athletic teams.

Most of Welch's shots seem to barely be making it above the rim, including his free throws. Something is completely broken with his shot. The shots that went in against PSU early had no room for error, it is really bizarre considering how automatic he was last year with an open look.

On the other hand, I almost expect Mav's shot to fall lately when he has an open look. He has really improved his jumper.
