My Dad worked his camps for many years. Maybe he coached you there!

I’d have to dig a little as my dad is no longer with us, but he very well could have been there those years. He was coaching in Cleveland, MN at that time.

Niko didn't make the NCAA Tourney until the year we hired Ben. I thought he was under qualified at the time (granted we went with someone less qualified and who had never played or coached on a good team).

Coyle had his list and Niko was probably crossed off due to his working under Clem. He was probably on the fence about letting Thorson in the building as an assistant also.

I believe that Coyle really hoped to be shown the smartest guy in the room (assuming Ben had success) by hiring an alumn. Just forgot to check prior experience/success (none) and personality (zero). OOPS. Ben should have been disqualified for leaving Pitino staff and originally playing for Northwestern before transferring back
