Official as of now. Not a shock here. I guess that makes 3 so far?
 


Left the NY Jets to take that job

Just goes to show that not every assistant will make a good head coach.
 

Groh's buy-out is $4.3 million. If Brew's is really $800K and it's a factor in them keeping him or not, all I can say is, that's kind of pathetic.
 

Al Groh was the head coach of The New York Jets and was let go. Lets see, Lou Holtz, Pete Carrol also. The assistant jab was mis placed.

I agree with your assessment that the jab was misplaced. He finished above .500 in his one year as head coach of the Jets. Al Groh is a solid football guy. Not every solid football guy ends up being a great head coach, but from everything I've ever read about Al Groh he seems to be a decent, straightforward guy. Think "Glen Mason times three" without the over-sized ego. Groh won't be out of work long.
