Sounds like Friday, Nov. 9, it'll be Ohio State vs. Marquette on the USS Yorktown in South Carolina.

Saw this last week. As a Marquette Law Alum, I'm extremely excited for this. I'm sure Badger fans are going to hate that MU will be getting this kind of exposure!

Is Wisconsin/Marquette a big rivalry? Is it kind of like Michigan/Michigan State, where the rivalry is probably more important to one team than the other (Michigan cares more about Ohio State, Wisconsin cares more about Minnesota). I'm just curious as to how much importance is placed by each team and their fans on beating the other relative to other rivalries.

I think it's pretty cool, I just wish the game didn't count and was considered an exhibition.

Oh yeah, it's a big rivalry, especially now that Marquette is becoming a real threat to Wisconsin's instate recruiting. Wisconsin fans think Marquette's basketball team is just a bunch of dumb criminals and Marquette fans think Wisconsin's team is just a bunch of unathletic white guys that can't do anything but stall and play defense. There definitely isn't any love lost in the rivalry. With that being said there are of course some Wisconsinites that don't have connections to either school and thus cheer for both teams.

Everyone thinks this (even bucky fans understand this), except in place of "defense", put "clutch and grab, then flop".

Haha, yeah I know. I was just trying to paint a picture of the average debate/fight between a Wisconsin and Marquette fan.

I think this game is going to be really cool, but I hope ESPN gets smart and has the game at a time when it's daylight outside rather than waiting until the optimal TV time and ruining the opportunity for scenic views for most of the game. Wishful thinking perhaps, but I'm holding out hope they learned something from their mistake in starting the MSU-UNC game too late last year. When it gets dark a half hour into a game like this, it really takes away from the quality of camera shots in the broadcast.
