per MLive.com:
A dismal day for Michigan had a silver lining for an epilepsy specialist in Grand Rapids.
Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill gave a shout-out to “Doc Smith in Grand Rapids, Michigan” in a TV interview, right after his team trounced the Wolverines.
Drenched with Gatorade, the jubilant coach told an ESPN reporter how glad he was to be back on the sidelines. He credited his wife, Rebecca, with helping him cope with his seizure disorder – and he credited Dr. Brien Smith, of Spectrum Health, with keeping him coaching. On the morning of last year’s Michigan-Minnesota game, Kill had a seizure that forced him to miss the game and most of the 2013 season.
After Saturday's game, Smith, who was at home during the game, was immediately bombarded with texts and emails from friends telling him about the public pat on the back.
