Maybe they are just going to do an Air Force 1 Flyover with Obama in town

seriously-- I have never been at an event where there has been a flyover so a few questions

1--how many jets--I am assuming 2 or 3?
2-- will they come in from the open end where we can see them coming in from a distance or do they come in the other way
3-- How high over the stadium do they fly? Are they like seeing a plane in the sky near the airport or is it more like in Top Gun when the buzz the tower
4-- How fast are they going-- too fast to get a picture and actually see them

I am excited for my 3 kids to see this as well and something I am really looking forward to

From Gopher Illustrated by way of post 35 on http://www.forums.gopherhole.com/boards/showthread.php?t=6920&page=2

The four F16s from Duluth will flyover at 1,000 feet and 320 miles per hour. Their on-board computers have them scheduled to be over midfield at 5:53:35. They will approach from the west and do the flyover from west to east, so fans with binoculars should be able to pick them up as they make their run from just north of the downtown skyscrapers. All Minnesota pilots who will land at Twin Cities International and attend the game as guests of the Air Force.

The last post pretty much answered all of your questions. As far as what it's like, it's more like the buzzing of the tower in Top Gun only instead of veering in a direction like they do in the movie, this comes straight over the top. The fact that the four will be less than 1000 ft from the top of the stadium will be a great experience.

I attended a Vikings/Bears game at Soldier Field in December about 2 yrs ago. I was sitting in the upper deck in the south endzone and just as the National Anthem was finishing, 3 fighters came over the stadium from the south to the north at about the same height or a little lower. Wasn't expecting it at all so it scared the heck out of me but got chills because it was so cool.

Depending on where you're sitting on Saturday, you should be able to see them coming from behind the scoreboard.

If you haven't seen this before, this is an awesome flyover (even though the pilot was reprimanded afterwards from what I've heard): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLPC-4Mj3N8
