Pretty good analysis and I agree. If the Gophers are able to get off to a 3-1 start like most of us think they can (only New Mexico State will be a gimme), sneaking in to Ann Arbor and leaving with a win can be a springboard. If they can win that one, the next week at Purdue is winnable as well. Suddenly, it's 5-1 going into the bye week, and more importantly, 2 BIG TEN WINS, because BIG TEN WINS are ALL THAT MATTER and WILL BE how COACH KILL is going to be JUDGED!
After that, the Gophs have a chip in the game against Illinois, Northwestern, and Iowa (despite what the 10-2 "I just don't see any losses with this schedule" Iowa fans think). A chance against Wisconsin & Nebraska (although I see more than likely losses). If I had to wager my life against the Gophers losing to any team in the Big Ten, I'd go with Michigan State.
Rittenberg does a nice job for the most part, and he's pretty accurate here, I feel.
