ACC announces league opponents for its 18-game, 15-team schedule

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks the ACC wanted to stick it to Maryland, so they gave them no home game with Duke their last season. Of course, that was going to be a more regular occurrence in the future if Maryland stayed in the ACC as their "rivals" that they would have played home & home every year didn't include Duke (or UNC). I think the ACC watered down its product when they expanded past 9 - when every team got Duke and UNC at home every season, recruiting for those "others" was easier. Perhaps the addition of Syracuse and Pitt will help strengthen their product. ND you can't count on really, just not able to get the talent it takes to be a great program these days.

No matter how they finesse it to the public, the ACC stuck it to Maryland. No home game with either of the conference's signature programs, Duke and North Carolina? That was not an accident.

Can't say I blame the ACC. Why should it do any favors for a school leaving the conference?
