Playing time will be tougher to come by for Armelin next season after the Gophers signed a pair of guards, and they may be looking to add another from a junior college. Memphis White Station (Tenn.) senior Andre Hollins and Hopkins High School senior Joe Coleman are part of the 2011 recruiting class. Yuba College (Calif.) sophomore Julian Welch made an official visit Sunday.
Armelin said he's thought about playing football in college because he was an all-state wide receiver in high school in Louisiana last year.
"But as of right now, I'm just thinking about basketball and seeing how far we can go in basketball," he said.
