A penalty with some bite (no chance for NCAA tourney)


Did any of those schools have much of a chance to make it anyways? I like the new rule. Even if it nips us in the future, it polices the OSUs, UKs, Memphis' of the world.
 

I like it, too. All four of those schools are from conferences (Big West, SWAC, Sun Belt) that typically produce only their automatic bid. The rule will really have some bite if and when it takes down one of the heavyweights. I would think UConn is a future candidate based on what this story is saying.
 

I like this too. Though it's sad that the punishment for this is almost as severe as blatant cheating in college football. Something's not right about that scale of justice.
 

I doubt this rule will be effective for at least another 6 years. I think it may create other problems as well... not sure I'm a big fan. But, again, it's a long ways off before this would even become effective.
