Iowa handed out to all fans RED WHITE and blue pompoms for Veterans Day against the Badgers. Idiots.
 

They should have requested to temporarily change the USA's colors to yellow, black, and blue.

I'm not sure if you are kidding or serious. I hope you're just trying to be funny.

Go America! Except when the other team's colors are the same as our nations flag!
 

well they didn't quite think through separating the colors. hence, the entire student section waving red pom poms...

Plus Veteran's day is next weekend. This move makes zero sense.
 


I am all about the red, white, and blue, but they should have made blue the most prominent color on the pom poms.
 

I saw the title of this thread, and then was watching the game and I knew exactly what it was about. Nice to see Hawkeye fans celebrating the red and white. It is truly something our PR dept would come up with...
 

They should have handed them out so the red, white and blue are mixed together instead of separating it by section or area of the stadium. I think that would look better anyways.

I didn't realize iowa was a US state. I thought it was one of those unincorporated, unorganized territories. I guess I was wrong and now realize it is just an unorganized state.

That all may be true, but remember, Iowa made the list of the top 50 states in the USA. They came in at #50.

But I hate those damned hand warmers, AuE. They warm up my beer too fast and as a result I have drink them faster while they are still cold. Then again, that's not too bad either.
 

All I saw was the red pom poms and I thought I was watching an episode of the Twilight Zone...especially since they were playing Sconie. Then I thought the Sconie fans were 2 days late re Halloween and were dressing up as Iowa fans.

Since we are coming up for the game from Florida I sure hope they are handing out hand warmers for our sake! haha
