Though it would be fun in the off season to look at the 2019 Preseason predictions and how wrong they were! Definitely proves that preseason rankings and predictions are generally a crapshoot and not at all accurate.

My favorite is Sagarin, here is what the preseason metrics put us at in 2019 (copied from gopher07's post):

vs South Dakota State -6 (Actual: -7)
@ Fresno State +2 (Actual: -3)
vs Georgia Southern -13.5 (Actual: -3)
@ Purdue +2 (Actual: -7)
vs Illinois -14 (Actual: -23)
vs Nebraska +5.5 (Actual: -27)
@ Rutgers -10.5 (Actual: -35)
vs Maryland -4.5 (Actual: -42)
vs Penn State +9 (Actual: -5)
@ Iowa +12 (Actual: +4)
@ Northwestern +6 (Actual: -16)
vs Wisconsin +7 (Actual: +21)

Final record: 5-7 (3-6) (Actual: 10-2 (7-2))

What are some other 2019 preseason predictions you thought were interesting to compare to the actual results?

Still can't believe the B1G writer predicted us to finish 6th in the West after the way we finished 2018 and all the returning talent. The "experts" should have at least a few positions higher - 4th or 5th would have made sense. The fact they predicted Fleck's team getting worse in year 3 is a joke.
