A Little Top 25 Perspective

Did the Gophers play great yesterday? No, not by a long shot. But could it have been worse...yes, way worse. Check out some Top 25 failures yesterday to see what worse looks like.

#6 Auburn needs OT to beat Jacksonville St.
#9 Golden Domers need last minute score to beat uVA
#18 Arkansas falls to Toledo
#29 Boise St loses to BYU

And our old friends down at TCU put up 70 on SF Austin...just to show that they can.

We are 1-1 with a good hard fought road victory and a lost to a top 5 team by 6, holding them to 23 points and I bet, their lowest points and yardage totals of the season.

We have two cup cakes coming up to get healthy, work on the O-Line and QB and get our stuff together.

The issue for some is they somehow thought we were a top 5 team or something...ML is still our QB and he is still ML. If we get some things working, we have a shot at the West Title and a Big Ten Championship lose to either tOSU or MSU...both of whom are way out of our league this year.

Kent State couldn't come at a better time. We need to get healthy, first and foremost, and get some young guys on offense more experience. I wouldn't call Ohio a cupcake anymore. They are a solid team and beat Marshall yesterday. We should beat them, but it's not a game to completely overlook especially with our issues on offense.
