I was tooling around on the 76 Classic website and here is the blurb on the Gophers:

The Golden Gophers recorded their highest win total since 1992-93 (22) and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1995. Their 21 regular season wins were the second highest total in school history (24 in 1976-77). It was the 16th consecutive 20-win season for coach Tubby Smith, who took over the Minnesota program in 2007-08. A 12-0 start to the season included a win over then No. 9 Louisville. The Gophers set a school record with 201 blocked shots, including 50 by freshman Ralph Sampson III.

Beyond how incredibly asinine it is to pretend the Clem years never existed, do any of these people do fact checking? I seem to remember Vincent Grier taking the Gophers to the tourney in 2005 as well (unless of course that season never happened either) .
