It makes me sad when DIII athletes hold NCAA records.
 

Why should it? D-III athletes play college football just like everyone else. If the D-III athletes having records disturbs you, then feel free to only consider the D-I records.

But if they are a private liberal arts school setting the record against a private liberal arts school, doesn't that negate the difference?


Should it be noted every time an Oklahoma State or a USC sets a record against a school like Savannah State or South Dakota State?
 

Though it's quite an accomplishment, he averaged 21.64 yds a completion. IMO, there were no college-level defensive backs in the game...
 

The impressive thing is that the final was 62-55. There wasn't any stat-padding. All of the yards were crucial.

They are playing their peers. And it is noted in the record books. No, there's no disclaimer that says "WARNING! This record was set between two liberal arts colleges." All the information you need is recorded. They are an NCAA team, and hold the NCAA record. If you're interested in the D-I record, look at the D-I record.
