If you heard about this, please let me explain. USC this past Saturday was an 8.5 point favorite over Utah. The score was 17-14 as Utah lined up for the tying field goal. It was blocked and returned. During the return the USC bench emptied on the field to get in the celebration. The referee, flagged participation negating the TD. And the game ended 17-14. Vegas, paid Utah tickets and USC holders tore them up, tossed them. Two hours after the game the Pac 12 ruled the participation was a dead ball foul and reinstate the TD, making the game 23-14. Now if you had not cashed your Utah tickets you lose. If you still have your USC ticket or you find some discarded on the floor you win. Why would the conference insert themselves into a game USC won?

From what I read from Mandel, it was always ruled that it was a TD and the final score should be 23-14...it was a communication issue and it wasn't relayed to the pressbox.

Now as for the ticket issue, Vegas is NOT honoring the USC wager ticket because they've already paid some winners to Utah. Personally, I think that's "too f-ing bad, Vegas....your mistake!" The bottom line is that the final score in the archives will be 23-14 USC. That's a 9 point win for USC. I don't know if legally they'll be able to get away with it.....who knows.

The game ended 17-14. 2 hours later the PAC 12 Conference awarded the TD. Making it 23-14.

According to Mandel:

However, it's important to note that nobody "overruled" anyone. On Sunday, Pac-12 Coordinator of Football Officiating Tony Corrente issued a statement clarifying the situation. "The final play of the game between USC and Utah was ruled properly and the touchdown did stand," said Corrente. "There was a miscommunication between the officials and the press box that led to the confusion about the final score. We will make the appropriate adjustments to improve communication between on field officials and press box personnel so that we avoid any scoring issues in the future."
