1. Let it all out: So that's what the full Ohio State Urban Meyer offense looks like. Against Michigan State, the Buckeyes let it go. And now, heading to Minnesota for Saturday's game, they know they can do it.

"I think our mantra for (last) week was we were going to empty the chamber," offensive coordinator Tom Herman said. "I think that was kind of the approach as a staff and with the players. We were going to empty the chamber and we were going to be aggressive. We knew they were one of the top five offenses in the country as well, and we were going to do our part to win the game."..

4. Shutting down David Cobb: Minnesota running back David Cobb is ninth in the nation in rushing at 134 yards per game, but it's hard to imagine him going off against the Buckeyes. Not without a passing game to help set him up...The Buckeyes are ready to read Cobb, as he tries to read them.

"Some of the things we do, he reads that and he makes his cuts off that," OSU defensive tackle Adolphus Washington said. "We've got to play sound and keep him in the middle. It comes down to playing assignment football. He's a smart back."

Writers and commenters keep running with this "no passing game" thing, it's almost as though they haven't watched the Gophers play any conference games.

They needed five reasons

For 95% of opponent media/fans, the extent of their research of our passing game involves looking at yards/game and coming to the quick conclusion that it's terrible.

Nothing wrong with that. In the games they've lost over the last two years, the passing game was brutal. In the games they've won again BSC teams, the passing game has been instrumental.

Ya but if they really peel the layers off that "no passing game" assumption, they quickly convince themselves the passing game only consists of a tight end anyway. People just can't get their arms around the possibility of the lowly Gophers actually being good.

They paid attention against TCU and early when we completed 1 pass with a back up QB. To be honest the Big 10 schedule has sucked until now. All the teams in the race have not played until this last 4 week stretch. Win and the nation will take notice.

Another brick would be to end the drought of not beating both Michigan and ohio in the same year since 1940.

..and the loss to the Illini when the passing game showed-up for 1 Quarter, and that was almost enough.

Brutal passing game today and they lost. Anybody still offended?
