Did any of you find it unusual that the Gophers ran a "real" play at the end of the game, instead of taking a knee?

They had 399 yards before that play, and ended up with 412.

Was it that they were so close to 400 total yards?

If it's the first string you take a knee, if it's the backups, you want the reps.

I agree, this is a chance to put the backups against real competition. You just don't get that in practice. It's not as is the Gophers were heaving the ball, they were just running it.

You also take a knee if you are up by 8 or less, not 9 or more.

I am glad Coach Kill allowed "Mad Max" to throw the ball and score a TD late in the game. I don't recall "Mad Max" throwing the ball on the last drive.

No more Minnesota Nice

This. Absolutely. I want to run up the score on any fool team that dares to face us.

Stop it with the 'sportsmanship' whining.
