Does anyone know what songs were played at the 3rd quarter break?
African folkish? Huh????
I don't know how else to describe it? It reminded of the song from Invictus but it was different.
Nope not Gangnam Style. They have played this song I am thinking of a couple of times now
There was one that had almost an african folkish sound to it the beginning? I'm not sure if anyone knows that I am talking about?
No More Minnesota Nice!!!
Let Me Clear My Throat gets people moving and then it goes right into Zombie Nation (Ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh oh). That is the good.
Sweet Caroline is a putrid choice though. So dull and stale. It does nothing. Everyone was zoned out when it played. Figure out something else.
Have to agree with this. Do they want people to jump around and dance or hold hands and hold up lighters? Sweet Caroline stopped everything.
I thought they had found the magic elixir at the Syracuse game when they played Let Me Clear MY Throat, Gangnam Style and Zombie Nation. That was great. Everybody into it. Why not do stick with the one thing that has worked?
four thoughts:
1. Worst 3rd/4th quarter break of the season.
2. The music was partly to blame but so was the embarrassingly tiny student and general crowd
3. The Gopher dance actually works and has a beach head to be a decent tradition.
4. Sweet Caroline is an over-used balloon deflator. For good measure, they played a long version of it on Saturday to completely douse the excitement. If you are going to use Sweet Caroline, save it for a timeout about half way through the fourth quarter blowout victory.
