According to the Iowa Rivals Board (Hawkeye Report), an Iowa coaching change has caused a wide receiver commit - Damond Powell, of Snow College - to reconsider his commitment to the Hawks. Reportedly, wide receiver coach, Erik Campbell, is no longer on the Iowa staff, which has led to Powell's rethinking about his verbal.

Powell is 5-11 and 175 pounds and listed as a Rivals 3 star recruit.

It's being reported Powell has recently received interest from Texas Tech and Minnesota.

Go Gophers!!

Go Gophers!!

It would be great to poach one from the Hawkeyes.

I would rather have a 3* DB change his commitment from the pig's to Minnesota.

I would like to poach away a certain defensive back who hails from Robbinsdale Cooper

3* Class of 2013, great wheels and good cover skills as a playmaker.
Powell would be a nice get away from the Hawkeyes, and would hurt them and help us. Like another poster said we want both guys.
There is still a certain defensive back out there
that I think a lot of us are hoping will change his mind and play for the Gophers. He knows who he is, and he knows Gophers fans want
him to be a defensive back for the Gophers, but he is playing hard to get. Gophers are about to put two defensive backs in the NFL draft
in Carter and Stoudermire, you would think that would speak to the kid.
I think this also shows that coach Swavvel might know what he is doing back there to get players prepared to play
at the next level.

Micah Hyde is 1st team All-B1G and projected higher than either Carter or Stoudermire, just sayin' - and the Iowa staff has been putting DBs in the NFL for years so they do have a track record. Now, just where the Iowa program is going in the next few years is another debate.

Iowa city is a cute little town, but that state smells really bad.
