3 from MN listed as starters for Iowa

Eubanks @ center, Binns @ DE and Klug at DT.

I assume Gilreath will start @ Wisky with Anderson and Sorenson getting a good share of PT as well.

Any other MN grads making an impact on CFB teams other than Floyd at ND? McNeal is a RS at Clemson and Mobley on the sidelines this Fall.

Weber, Decker, N. Tow-Arnett, J. Tow-Arnett, Stommes, Carufel, Bunders, Jacobs or Moen, Triplett, Sherels, Royston and Ellested are all starting at Minnesota. ;)

Kinda funny that McNeal is a RS at Clemson. Would he have been a RS here?

I think part of his decision to redshirt is QB Tahj Boyd redshirting too. He helped recruit Boyd for them and the two players agreed that they wanted to play all 4 years together. Obviously adding muscle to his frame isn't going to hurt him either.

258 for a starting DT is awfully light. I always thought Klug was going to be a DE/ILB.

Gopher transfers such as Becker is at St. Thomas and Potter ended up at South Dakota. Does anyone know what happened to McWhirter?

Cory Hanson (De La Salle '05) - Northern Illinois starting WLB
Jordon McMichael (Breck '06) - Boston College, backup FB/TE
Matt Slater (Cretin-Derham Hall '06) - Boise St. (walk-on) starting LT
Dan Deckas (Edina '06) - USC (walk-on) backup WLB
Alexander Robinson (De La Salle '06) - Iowa St. starting RB
Sam Sterner (Waconia '06) - Wyoming starting LG
Bryant Williams (Edina '06) - New Mexico starting WR
Josh Biezuns (Prior Lake '07) - Wyoming starting OLB (starting FB last year)
Collin Carroll (Edina '07) - Virginia Tech starting long snapper
John Hutchins (Simley '07) - Wyoming starting RT
Trevor Olson (Richfield '07) - Northern Illinois starting LT
Weston Peiffer (Chaska '08) - Western Michigan starting DE
Corey Frazier (Eden Prairie '09) - Rice possible nickel back, will play

I tried to be as exhaustive as I could - feel free to add any more you can think of.

Weber's HS teammate and favorite WR target Turner is at UNI, hope he catches about 18 for 315 and 6 TD's against Ioweee this week...might not happen though.

Nice work dpodoll. I'm impressed. I always like to read about the "off the radar" guys that living the dream elsewhere.

I may be mistaken, but I believe he initially planned to transfer out, decided against it, and is still enrolled here as a "regular" student.

one more player

Josh Biezuns (Prior Lake '06) Wyoming FB last year started 8 games, was switched to OLB for this year, and is listed as one of the starting OLB's (Buck for those of you who are "hip" to the lingo) for this year.

Actually, he was already on the list.:D And he graduated in '07, not '06.

It does seem light, but he did play the position very well last year when he got in. FWIW, at the same point in his career, King was listed at 264 and he was first team all B10 that year. Now whether Karl is another Mitch King type player, that is yet to be seen.
