i was only able to watch the first half (didn't have access to NFL network) but every play, i think, was a 3-4 scheme. i like this, and it seemed like it was really effective in the first quarter. i look forward to seeing more of this next year. the starting lineup needs to improve. the line was WVDS, brown, small. with WVDS gone and small, brown and jewhan at NT, we need the remaining DEs to step up big, but at NT we will be very deep. the LB starting line-up sucked:davis-slow, hightower-slow but good at the LOS. campbell-slow but good at the LOS, and lawrence-stud. we have already had a LBs for next year thread, but i wouldn't mind seeing campbell and maresh in the middle with lawrence and cooper on the outside. we need speed at LB.

I would guess our defense played more snaps in the 3-4 this year than they did a 4-3. This wasn't anything particularly new last night.
