A few thoughts from an undefeated week. The St. Thomas and LIU matches were fun to watch. Keegan Cook gave everyone a chance to play. Not sure the team got much out of those matches as they were not competitive. The Auburn match yesterday was a really nice win. The set scores don't reflect how one-sided the match really was. The Gophers controlled the match the whole way. The Gophers serve kept Auburn off balance the whole match. Defense was also strong. It's great to see players diving on the floor to keep points alive. Indivually Alex Acevedo was dynamite from the service line and played really solid in the back row. Gophers fans gave her an awesome ovation when she subbed out in the third set. Calissa Minatee is growing match by match and has been lethal on the slide.
