Probably worth a separate thread all on its own, why not.
- Sounds like Stafford and the Rams are headed for divorce; he'll go to a QB-needy team but that will also create a hole in Los Angeles. It would seem the Rams have a plan in place, could it be Darnold?
- Falcons "saying" that Cousins will be the backup to Penix this coming season. HA! Not sure I buy that for a minute, the shitshow in Atlanta continues. They'll try to drum up some kind of market for Cousins, it won't be there, and he'll get cut. I GUESS he could stay but I doubt it.
- Looking like the Vikings will let Darnold walk. Heard a very good discussion on the likelihood of "tag and trade" and how incredibly unlikely it would be. What team would give up draft assets for only one year of control of Sam Darnold? And on the Vikings end, the Comp pick would most definitely be better than a team coughing up something in a tag and trade. Less than zero chance the Vikings get something like a 2nd rounder in a tag-and-trade scenario, not happening.
- Steelers, I think it's possible they don't want EITHER of Wilson or Fields but if anything, they get something done with Wilson I would think. Bringing in someone like Darnold, or someone not currently available (Stafford, Cousins, Geno, et al) is certainly a possibility.
Shaping up to be a pretty eventful next several weeks, no doubt about it
