Theathletic.com put out its 2021 mock draft, and has another Gophers player going to Green Bay.

(I included the mock first pick of the Vikings, too, as they were one slot after GB, meaning... they had a slightly better season???)

22. Green Bay Packers — *Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
Averaging 20.3 yards per catch last season, Bateman was a cheat code with his dominance at the catch point. There are three Big Ten receivers in this mock, but it was Bateman who was named the conference’s top receiver last season.

23. Minnesota Vikings — Carlos Basham, edge, Wake Forest
“Boogie” Basham would have been a top-50 pick if he entered the 2020 NFL Draft, leading the team with 18.0 tackles for loss and 11.0 sacks in 2019. He softens the edge with his physical hands, and his relentless nature leads to production.

As it says above, there are three B1G WRs going in the first round of this mock draft. Purdue’s Rondale Moore goes 25th to New England, and OSU’s Chris Olave goes 28th to New Orleans.

Once again, this is a pay site, and probably not available to everyone, but here’s the link for those who subscribe:

I like that the Pack picks before the Purple in this scenario.

Yeah, gotta love a mock draft that assigns players to teams when the draft order hasn't even been determined yet. Clearly the only "value" of any kind in a piece like this is the round they are projecting the players to go in. If Bateman has a year similar to 2019 I would assume that 1st round will be the common theme with many draft projections for him.

This mock assumes that the Packers are capable of correctly assessing their biggest needs and drafting intelligently to fill them. Recent history indicates a fundamental inability to do that.

Impossible. After this year, we know that the Packers don't believe in drafting WRs.

They put a bolded note at the beginning of the article that says "The draft order used for this mock is the inverse order of the current Super Bowl odds, so focus on the players and not where each team is picking".

He also writes: "This mock draft isn’t about accuracy, but rather it serves as a watchlist — 32 draft-eligible prospects who are already high on the NFL radar." - which I think is a good mentality when looking at these mock drafts.
