2019 Final Rankings AP/Coaches

Going into the year I think we all would have been pretty thrilled to finish the year in the top 20. Potential was there for more but tough to be upset over 10-2 and ranked #16.

A bowl win over Auburn should put Gophs close to top 10 preseason next year.

I know it's not the final CPF rankings but I was glad to see that we're still above Michigan and Iowa.

Big Ten is definitely getting disrespected in the polls. Out of all the Power 5 teams with 2 regular season losses, the Big Team teams are getting pushed to the bottom. Wiscy snuck in front of Utah in the AP, but that's it. SEC, Pac 12, and Big 12 teams with 2 losses all finished higher. Maybe it's deserved, maybe not.

Key here is that Utah is ahead of Penn State in both polls. Could have an effect on the final playoff rankings and where Minnesota goes.

Also interesting Baylor stayed put, and Georgia dropped only one spot after getting dominated. We'll see what the CFP committee does...
