With the season right around the corner, here's a refresher on rule changes that you'll notice on the field of play this fall (courtesy of reddit's /r/cfb board)

1) Fair catch on kickoffs: Teams can fair catch inside their own 20 yard line on kickoffs, and the ball will be placed at the 25 (just like a touchback)
2) Penalties on field goal attempts: In the event of a made field goal and defensive penalty, teams can elect to keep 3 points and enforce the penalty on the ensuing kickoff.
3) Blocking below the waist: Any block below the waist is now illegal more than 5 yards downfield from the LOS.
4) Knee pads: Gotta have 'em.
5) Speeding up play: A 40-second play clock will start immediately after a touchdown is scored (before the extra point) and immediately after a dead ball on a kickoff (before the ensuing offensive drive).
6) Ref Cams: Any official can wear a "cap cam," subject to team and conference approval. Previously only the umpire could wear the camera.
