Can we get a thread for all 2015 recruiting possibly?

“@JBBauer612: #Gophers RT @JoelFranESPN: Impressed w/2015 pg 6-0 Jerrick Ahanmisi..lean frame, rebounds, pull-ups, poised.Brother of Minnesota pg Maverick”

Unless Jarvis transferred, he's at DeLaSalle. Illikainen recently picked up a Minnesota offer.

Henry Ellenson is going to be a stud. He's already 6'8'', shoots from a very high point, and is already a better shooter than wally. Decent handles for a kid his size, and will probably be more athletic as he grows into his body. He would be a big pickup for the gophers.

Hope henry gets offer from U soon.

I'm sure he has talked to Tubby many times and that his family has as well.

Yep, certainly has... and I like Henry. Gotta see him more, but really liked him last summer. The idea of someone (their dad) transferring from Marquette to Wisconsin is troubling, but it seems like a great family. The boys and the sister all seem happy and pleasant when together, but I imagine some good old fashioned competition between them at home with all those athletes under the same roof. Hopefully Wally shares some good stories this year.

Wally's dad left Marquette when Majerus left as coach.

Damn, Tubby had some foresight on this one. Clearly signed Mav to get an in with his brother.

Does anyone know how Jerrick Ahanmisi is supposed to be?

I've heard some really good things about Henry Ellenson. He figures to be a college Small Foward who has good size and can really stick the three-point shot. I've gotten 3 different heights from different sources though, is he 6'5, 6'6, or 6'8? It could be the difference between being a 3 or 4 in college.

Definitely closer to 6'8" than 6'5". I can't say with much certainty what his exact height is, but when I saw him about 6 months ago I would have estimated about 6'7". I'd imagine he'll be more of a 'stretch 4' at the next level.

I agree with the height, I think Henry is in that 6'7" neighborhood. I also think he projects as a 4 at the next level. Though he moves well for a young kid as big as he is, I have trouble seeing him defending 3s on the perimeter. Certainly a long ways to go for Henry, but I see him as more of a face up 4.

At this point, his best skill is shooting the deep ball, but as his body matures and his coordination catches up with his size, I could see him being able to score consistently on the interior in addition to knocking down 3s. His recruitment will definitely be heavily contested in the coming years. Best case scenario for UW would be to land Diamond Stone to play the 5 and then Henry next to him to play the 4. Two very good looking bigs in Wisconsin's 2015 class, and another in Illikainen (sp?) in Minnesota in 2015.

Gotta think Minnesota has the inside track, at least initially, with landing Wally? Although if henry plays as you say he does, he sounds like a good fit for the UW system.

I would definitely think so. The Ellensons are moving to the Twin Cities, right? I believe Henry will be attending DeLaSalle.

That, and they say that the family is very close. As long as Wally has a decent-good first couple years I think we would have a good chance at Henry.

Looks like the Gophers offered Henry Ellenson, according to Chris Monter's Twitter.

"Minnesota has offered FR Henry Ellenson, according to Minnesota Pump N Run director Tom Kroschell. His brother Wally signed w/ the Gophers."
