Per Mark Miller at the Wishoops site, Minnesota has offered 2013 PF D'Andre Downey from Milwaukee Riverside. He's 6'8" and long and bouncy, but is much more of a defenseive player at this point. Curious if that means anything for Minnesota's recruitment of Kyle Washington.

I like it. Would like to see some early commitments. If putting pressure on kids like this helps then I say do it. Seems proactive. As far as Washington goes he still has a ways to go in terms of production and consistency maybe the year of Prep will toughen him up.

I'm all for going after guys early but it seems like we could wait a little bit longer before offering the #11 rated prospect in the state of Wisconsin. Or offer the 10 guys that are better than him first.

According to a text from Chris Monter, the Gophers have not offered.

Go Gophers!!

That's interesting. Mark and Ryan James are about as plugged in as it gets, and both reported today that Downey had been offered by Minnesota.

maybe it was the same kind of offer that Joe Coleman and his family got confused by.

If we are looking at Wisconsin kids the #4 rated 2014 is right across the border in Hudson- Alex Herink

Or the one Shelby Moots got or Estan Tyler got or the big kid from Cloquet. This staffs offers are a puzzle to me.There seems to be no rhyme or reason to them.
