Just checked out their facebook page and it looks like they are going to announce the participants starting tommorrow. Would be great to see Rodney get chosen. Its going to take place on April 4 on ESPN. Go Rodney:clap:

Awesome thanks. Hopefully rod gets picked would like to watch him dunk one last time!

Dunks are garbage!

When I see a highlight video with dunk after dunk after dunk after dunk, etc., I think "this guy can't do anything else, he has no skills". In fact, I said exactly that while so many on this board were going gaga over Rodney Williams highlights coming out of high school. At that time I seriously doubted that Rodney would be an impact player. After his freshman year, I am on record saying "Rodney should not dunk the basketball all summer. He should be practicing his ball handling & shooting" . Alas, yet another player caught up in doing pretty dunks without working on the skills that really get a guy into the NBA.

You're old.

I also could care less. The guy spent his entire career here honing his dunking skills. Never learned to play the game. Has nothing to do with being "old." It has to do with him wasting his talent and a bunch of idiot fans getting worked up over something that minimally impacts a basketball game.

Wow.blow up!

I'd love to see Rodney in the dunk contest. Help promote the school on national TV. Him and Stephens from Memphis would put on a memorable show.

Thought this would be a positive thread, but obviously some people have to complain about everything, Im not going to debate Rodney's potential, im just hoping to see him wear a Gopher uni one more time. And if you don't enjoy a dunk now and then, go watch womens basketball.

I enjoy a dunk now and then.....But what I enjoy even more is a stud athlete with a world of potential who actually knows what the hell he's doing on offense and defense.

Those 2 would put on a much better show than the NBA guys did this year, I hope Rodney is chosen.
