2012 Recruiting

With four seniors next year, who are the Gophers' recruting to replce them? We really need a Mbakwe type power forward.

Well, we were recruiting 6'6 240 PF cinmeon bowers, but i think tubby quit recruiting him because he doesnt want anyone with question marks.

With four seniors next year, who are the Gophers' recruting to replce them? We really need a Mbakwe type power forward.

Tubby's recruiting style (like it or not) is to identify his primary targets in the spring and summer between Jr and Sr year of HS. That's what he's done at Minnesota since 2007. He's landed most (not all) of his primary targets.

Marcus Paige (PG) from Iowa is one likely target for Gophers in 2012.

A strong season by the Gophers (off to great start) should really help the recruiting for 2012 (captain obvious here). I think a S16 run or better would really seal the deal with a few solid recruits for 2012...just what we need with our front court leaving. Things will be okay though as I think Walker will be a beast by his junior year.
