2011 Recruiting Needs

Alright, so looks like we're bulking up on TE's, LB's and OL's. We've got our QB of the class and picked up a DB as well.

So what other positions are a necessity?

I assume they'll pick up a RB, probably another WR or two, gotta get a couple DL and we' have to get some more DB's.

Anyone have any targets on their wishlist?

I think we need some D big boys. need a couple every year. And then speed, speed, speed with a frame to add mass.

Seem to badly need Defensive Ends (specifically pass rushers) as we struck out on quite a few towards the end of 2010. The need at Corner seems to be the most significant on the team as we are currently very thin at the position. On offense, they will obviously bring in at least one RB and probably two.

If I could pick 4 specifc types of recruits to add they would be

1. Pass rushing DE- 6'3 or taller with a great first step, doesn't have to be 250 as a recruit, just the frame to get there.

2. Corner- someone who can cover, height not as important as speed and c.o.d skills

3. Running Back- someone who can break some tackles in a Big Ten game

4. Wide Receiver- 6'4 or taller Wheelwright type WR that we've lacked for several years a fast (at least college fast) guy who can get deep and cause match up problems in the red zone. Hopefully, this version will have better hand than Ernie.

it seems we have no potential DL recruits close to committing, I am a firm believer in any as many DL recruits each year as possible. anyone know any potential DL targets?
