In the season just completed, there were only three BCS programs that failed to play a single NCAA qualifier during the nonconference portion of their schedules. Two of those (Oregon State & Providence) failed to make the NCAA Tournament. The other one still managed to make the Field of 68.

Can you name that BCS team?

Hint: It was a real "battle" for them to sneak into the tournament.

I was glad to see Battle get to play in the NCAAs. That kid (and fellow seniors Brooks, Jackson & Jones) deserved it. I'm still 100% convinced that if Brooks doesn't reinjure his shoulder vs. Temple, the Nitts would have moved on to play San Diego State with a legit chance to beat the Aztecs.
