Ahhh the close to the magical time of year when all programs think they are on the upswing and all fanbases feel their team is ready to take that next step is almost here. The reports from fall camp have been positive, all the players are bigger and stronger, the pieces are in place.....
Please don't take the sarcasm as meaning I don't think we are poised for a good season because even with the schedule if things really are moving the way they appear to be for the program we actually could be ready to take that next step. Year 4 is a make or break year for coaches (at least at any school that doesn't go off the deep end and can coaches after 1 or 2 years which is way too soon). I have been out front about my question as to Kill's ability to recruit enough talent to be a factor in the Big Ten. This is the season where we will begin to find out if he really can win consistently with lower ranked talent then the teams he is up against.
