They gave up an average of 40 points per game their last 3 games. Giving up an average of 166 yards rushing per game this season, I believe.

Yup. And Taylor was noticeably "off" too. All around bad effort by the offense today.....specifically the line.
Saw somewhere online he was dealing with an issue he got last week Vs Illinois

A step slow today.

Just played like crap. Not good enough to beat everyone not playing our best.

OL had a horrible game across the board. Brosmer was clearly uncomfortable, RB were getting hit as soon as they got the ball....just a horrible game all around for the guys up front. Definite bummer that we couldn't exploit a defense that has really been struggling.

Hey—at least we’re still tied with Iowa. They sucked the behind just as much as the Gophers did!

Luckily, I was working a tournament on Saturday and saved myself the aggravation. All I hear on the forum is about bad O-line play, but PFF says the team weak points in the game were tackling and coverage. How was the D?

Lindenberg played great. Zero press rush for most of the game, especially the first half which killed us. A couple of fluke long balls that nine out of 10 times or CBs handle without a problem. The defense wasn’t great but the O lost the game. IMO. Zero running game and we were lucky to have 16 still standing there were a couple of times he almost got killed.

Relax. Sh*T happens. We were out game planned. Saw both Miami lost and Georgia looks like they’ll lose too.
Yep. If other teams lose too then it’s not really a big deal if you lose. That’s why I don’t get why everyone gets so down on the Gopher basketball team. A lot of the other teams lose sometimes too.

We aren’t going to win many games when we can’t run the ball at all. Rutgers made a few more plays than they usually make and we played a little sloppy. We’re just not good enough to beat teams if they play good and we play bad.

Taking a loss like an adult seems like a lost skill among fans.

Utah's AD went full toddler over ... an objectively correct call.

Correct. That game was probably not a 50/50 game but it was closer to a 50/50 game than a game Minnesota was a no brainer winner.
We just aren’t that good right now on the line.

Which means if the other teams QB out plays us for a half, we have problems. If we get field goals instead of touchdowns, we have problems.

Hopefully we give Penn state a run and beat Wisconsin
