per 1500:
The recent injury, during a workout last week, is a setback for Cobb, but that's part of fighting for one's spot on an NFL roster.
"I just feel like he was somebody that always had something to work on, just like everybody else. That's kind of the tough part of this business is there's always something you need to get better at," Fruechte said. "In college, David was working through some things and once he figured it out he really played well, obviously, as you can see."
Fruechte, for his part, is fighting for his roster life, hoping he's impressed enough in training camp to stick around a while longer.
"It's kind of been a whirlwind, but it's been a lot of fun. Excited about it and excited about my opportunity and my good fortune to be here," he said.
"I think if you can do things that other people can't, whether that's special teams or offensively, you're going to set yourself apart and make some plays that will hopefully make people think about you at the end and be like, 'Hey maybe we'll keep him around a little longer.'"
