102: The number of free throws the Gophers have missed through nine games.
.622: The Gophers FT percentage as a team.
274: The current place held by the Gophers amongst 346 D1 teams that shoot free throws (before Saturday).
1: The number of Gophers shooting above 70% from the line (10 or more attempts)

Unfortunately, this is not a team of excellent shooters, with the exception of Blake. The reality is that poor FT shooting is not something that will correct itself throughout the year. This Achilles heel will cost the team at least three games in conference and two positions in league standings. Be prepared for some frustrating losses come B10 play.

Didn't Monson have a Sports Shrink work on FT's with the Gophers when he was coach. I'm not sure it helped any but maybe Tubby can find a better one.

More FT numbers.

I see Monson's LBSU missed 6 FT's (7/13) Saturday --- and they lost to UNC by 5 --- 96-91.

FREE THROWS --- they're only points.
