This is way overdue, but I finally got around to checking out how our commits did in their games this past Friday.
- Coffeyville beat Dodge City 52-13. In 5 games this year, Hinojosa has 9 tackles, 2 tfls, and 2 sacks.
- Alex Mayes had a bye week.
- Savannah Christian handed Calvary Day their first loss in a 21-20 victory. Myrick rushed for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns on 10 carries. He also caught an 18-yard pass for a touchdown. “I just used my speed there to get to the end zone,” Myrick said. “All we heard about coming in was that Calvary was going to beat us. We embraced the underdog role and came out and put the game away.”
- Beaver Dam lost to undefeated Wisconsin Lutheran 33-10. Owen Salzwedel didn't have 7.5 sacks this week, but he contributed on offense with 4 receptions for 74 yards. He has 14 receptions for 181 yards this year.
- #1 (5A)/ #14 (IL) Marian Central Catholic remains undefeated after beating St. Edward 52-6. Streveler was 9 for 11 for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns. MCC is now ranked #1 in 5A and #14 in the entire state.
- Wayzata beat Hopkins 31-13.
