More than 3,000 people are in the gym tonight, and the fire marshal has ordered the doors closed...if you want to watch it tonight however, you can do so on the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network!

anyone have an eyewitness report?

I see Eastview won 91-84 but have no details

Jones had 39 points and 11 assists in the loss. He really carries that team. Apple valley is not very good outside of jones and he will singlehandedly carry them to the state tourney. He will win a state title or 2 two when all is said and done but this year may not be the year. He makes every one around him so much better.

This was a great game...Eastview won 91-84, but it was back and forth throughout.

Both of the teams' stars came out to shine. Tyus Jones had 39 in defeat...Joey King had 37 in the victory for Eastview.

Eastview led throughout the half, but Apple Valley made a run late to take a 37-36 lead at the half. Eastview retook the lead early in the second half, and never let Apple Valley get to within four.

As I said before, the place was packed...they shut the doors 45 minutes before the game began. They will have the turnaround game at Eastview on Febuary 14...the Eastview gym has about 500 fewer seats, so it'll be the same thing over there.

Here is a link to the archive of the game if interested.

I just read an article on the football board about a guy at Eastview that plays both football and basketball. He's an interesting prospect. How did he look? I don't remember his name but he's 6'9" so I assume he stands out.

Wow, has any MN high school team ever had the week that Eastview just had? Beat #4 on the road. Beat #3 and you know who on the road. Beat the unbeaten defending big school champs of Wisconsin, technically on a neutral court but a neutral court in Wisconsin.

And I get it that you guys are really only interested in Tyus Jones and not high school ball itself, but give Eastview and Joey King some credit.

Ben Oberfeld listed at 6-9 235. Plays under the basket, had some pretty good back to the basket moves. Would not be a D1 basketball player but with his mobility could be a very good OL prospect in FB. Appears to have good mobility and good footwork which would help in football. Good rebounder and fairly agressive. Not as good a BKB player as Joey King listed at 6-9 210.

Apple valley won't go to state this year. That's tough section
Mainly because Eastview will be on the other side of the section. If you only had planned to see Tyus at the Target Center this year, don't wait. Believe the hype.
