I've noticed this guy dissappears in close games and tonight he really cost us big time....4 points on FT's when he miss front end of 1 and 1's...WOW!

Same ol GOphers...Can't put teams away...Where is Ralph the last 10 min????

He just scored our last 4 points, give him a break. Find the positive, there is plenty of it.

Nobody has gotten more breaks from Tubby and GopherHole than Devoe Joseph. Break time is over.

He has shot under 60% from the charity stripe, not someone I want taking the last second 16' shot for the game winner. 3-11, real sharp shooter.

I take Devoe over Westbrook any day of the week. He is clutch

He needs to put some arc on his shot

He has lots of back iron misses, especially on his free throws.

He has a smooth jump shot with a high release, but the trajectory is quite flat. I think he can become a phenomenal shooter with a bit more work.

Devoe is a pretty bad FT shooter. I didn't have a problem with the final shot though. I wish Cobbs got more minutes tonight.

He shoots like 64 percent from the foul stripe...That part of his game will improve...I thought he played well overall. He's only a sophomore.

You must be joking.
Westy is over 80 % the last two seasons. Devoe is less than 70%.

I agree with the Queen. When it comes to free throws at the end of the game give me Lawrence, and your money!

:)

Devoe has a really high release point with his shot - up over his head. Because of this he actually has a more difficult time the closer he gets to the basket with a jump shot.

The best FT shooters have a lower release point. For example, one of the better FT shooters of his day, Jeff Hornacek had a lower release point. Westbrook also does - out in front of his body as opposed to over his head. Terrell Brandon hardly ever missed a FT - again, shot was out in front of his body and not over his head. Even a bigger guy like Joe Krabbenhoft - shot around 90% from the line last year - lower release point.

FT shooting is mental, sure, but it also has a lot to do with technique and how you shoot it.
