All things Players Coming and Going.

One and done is crazy, but I'll put them at 85% to make the Frozen Four. So the Gophers will be fighting for one of the other three spots. I'll put BU at 50% if Celebrini is back. DU will wait to see if Buium is back. I'll put the odds of someone outside of the top 7 (Frozen Four plus UMN...

All things Players Coming and Going.

Leonard is back and therefore the three will be back. Ouch. Think about the Knies-Cooley-Snuggerud line. Make it better. Then have them come back a second year. And have the first overall pick in the next draft on the next line. I think the regret of blowing it in Tampa is only going to grow...

You still need to save the puck. They were 13th in shots against per game, better than the Gophers, so it's not like he was getting peppered. In fact, they faced fewer shots per game than Hastings' team. He'll turn 26 before the Big Ten Championship game.

Goaltending will be the weak point for the Gophers next year.

Meh. 79th out of 84 qualified goalies last season in save percentage.

Since Leonard hasn't signed yet I think "The Line" will all be back. Plus Hagens. The FF teams will once again be the top four favorites. UND and UMN will be hoping to jump one of them to make the FF.

    2024 Gopher Hockey Offseason

College hockey has already changed because of NIL and transfer portal. I can't help but feel like 3 or even 4 of the next five titles will come from the below. I really hope the Gophers get the next one from this list, to separate from the Boston schools and to tie wisconsin on the only real...

All things Players Coming and Going.

McGroarty staying If Casey and Hughes stay they're gonna be loaded again and maybe a better top 6 and top 9 than this year. McGroarty/Casey/Hughes/Soph Moldenhauer/Soph Schifsky + incoming Hage/Gridin/Humphreys + probably Whitelaw and maybe more from the portal

My predictions: 5/9/2023: "Snuggerud is probably about -15 points expected without Cooley, in my opinion. I'd say he could get 55-60 points with him and 40-45 without. That's with Moore." Result: -16 points 7/27/23: "BU, BC, and Michigan obviously have better rosters now. The Gophers are now in...

Congratulations to DU on their 10th title, making them the undisputed best program in college hockey history. Their 5th since 2000, making them the undisputed best program in college hockey this century. Congratulations to the NCHC on their position as the undisputed best conference in the...

Must be cool for your goalie to have the best games of his life in the tournament rather than three of the worst five or so games of his college career in the three times the team gets eliminated over three years.
