    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

So what? Payne averaged pretty much the same in the SEC as he did in the B1G. This year - Wisconsin's best player came from the Mountain West and developed under Niko. Texas Tech's best player came from the Mountain West. One of Kentucky's good starters came from the Mountain West. Yet all of...

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

There isn’t much difference in jumping from the Mountain West to the B1G/SEC. Plenty of guys make that jump and are just as good or even better. The Mountian West put just as many teams in the tournament as the ACC.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Payne: 10 PPG, 5 RPG, can't shoot outside of the paint, can't hit a FT, has 1 year left Crocker-Johnson: 9 PPG, 4 RPG, can hit a 3, can hit a FT, has 2 years left. Yet so many on here are acting like Payne would be a significant addition and just shrug their shoulders at adding Crocker-Johnson.

And that makes zero difference. One of our worst teams ever had Payne on it.

We would take him take him back, but the evaluations of his limitations are not incorrect. There's a reason he's never been a full time starter during his first 3 years. Payne is basically an undersized center from the 90s.

Wall Street Journal: The Dark Money Behind Duke Basketball

It's the same way they have been able to pay players for a long time. Same goes for a lot of the blue bloods. There were a few cracks when Zion was there, but those were quickly brushed aside.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Yes but Fox suffered 2 ACL tears after arriving here and his game was based on his athleticism and explosiveness. Enis's game is based on shooting, which translates to all levels.

    WOW WHAT A WIN!!!!

I don't know how you miss the layup and the foul was idiotic. But I don't have a problem with the layup attempt. Either way Denver would only be up by 3 at the most and the Wolves would get the ball back with a good amount of time to score. And Westbrook is not a very good FT shooter.

All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

If the Wolves wouldn't have dropped those 2 games to the shorthanded Pacers and the terrible Pelicans, they would be 1 game behind Denver for the 3 seed.

And just like that the Twins are 1 game out of first place.

The Wolves are so terrible in the clutch because Finch can’t fucking draw up an end of the game play.

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

Very solid addition with multiple years of eligibility. I could care less how much money he's making, only what the final roster looks like.

    Kyan Evans

Who's knocking Asuma? This whole conversation started because someone ridiculously called an Asuma/Evans backcourt the best since Bobby Jackson and Eric Harris. That is insane. Some of us are just being realistic. I like Asuma, I'm happy he's staying, and I think he has a good chance to...

Well it’s still way too early to give up on this team but man they look bad. At least if they stay bad, it won’t take long to clean house on the front office and coaching staff.

All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Coach Fired/Hired/Retired Thread

Why would Oats move to Maryland in the first place? The Maryland admin is more dysfunctional than the Gophers and they have a lot less $$$ than Alabama, even for basketball.

All Things Christian Wiggins Recruitment Thread (Wayzata Guard, 2026)

The #1 player in the state has been a Gopher 3 years in a row whether straight out of HS or taking a 1 year detour like Howard. Recruiting is all about building relationships, especially locally. Having good relationships with top players like Suggs matters even if they don't commit here. The...

All Things Christian Wiggins Recruitment Thread (Wayzata Guard, 2026)

No, recruiting high profile local athletes who now play in the NBA is not a waste of time. Especially when Suggs publicly said if he ended up playing football it would have been for PJ. There’s a reason why PJ has locked down the border and has had highly recruited players like Carroll and...

All Things Christian Wiggins Recruitment Thread (Wayzata Guard, 2026)

I agree, but this tread was brought back up because Wiggins just finally got an offer from the hometown school. It’s completely asinine that the Gophers weren’t the first to offer him a long time ago.
