All Things 2025 Minnesota Timberwolves Off-Season Thread

Randle missed 13 games and Rudy missed 10 last year, with a few of those overlapping, and Garza still played sparingly. The Wolves just went more small ball with TSJ, Clark, and Rob and it worked pretty well, especially against OKC. The plan right now is for Beringer to be on the roster. Jaden...

All Things 2025 Minnesota Timberwolves Off-Season Thread

Why would we need another C when we are replacing Garza, who only played in scrub time, with two 7ft+ rookies? We don’t need either of them to give us 10-12 minutes per night.

All Things 2025 Minnesota Timberwolves Off-Season Thread

2nd round draft picks do get tossed around like candy and they are virtually meaningless. So who cares? Every 2nd round pick this year was traded except for 4 of them. They can pick up 2nd rounders at anytime. Just because you've been so wrong about Lore and ARod about becoming owners of this...

He’s almost 35 and coming off an Achilles tear in March. I doubt he plays this year.

This is due to staying under the 2nd apron. Has nothing to do with capital

What grade would you give the Timberwolves 2025 draft?

Rob just turned 20 halfway through the season. How many 19 year olds join a WCF team and make a significant impact? Very few. Complain all you want about Conley but he's been in the league almost as long as Rob has been alive. Conley also wasn't great his first few years in the league despite...

Julius Randle intends to sign a new three-year, $100 million deal to stay with Minnesota.

And he wasn’t tradeable with his player option. So it was either sign him or let him walk.

What grade would you give the Timberwolves 2025 draft?

The odds of the Wolves running it back with the same roster next year are near zero. They didn't make the KAT trade until Oct 3rd last year. There's plenty of time to make a move. The Wolves have 3 guys that barely played in the playoffs would likely play ahead of whoever they drafted at 17...

Naz Reid intends to sign a new five-year, $125 million contract with Wolves

I understand what you're saying but the math doesn't make sense. Naz isn't playing 35 minutes off the bench. Then the player who started ahead of him would play significantly less. You cannot play Naz 35 minutes, and Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert 33 minutes. There's not enough time in the game...

Naz Reid intends to sign a new five-year, $125 million contract with Wolves

Non starters aren't going to play 35 minutes per game. Then it's pointless to start someone over them. Naz needs to play 30-35 minutes a game. To get there, he will have to be a starter at some point and he will be soon. So it does matter who starts.

Naz Reid intends to sign a new five-year, $125 million contract with Wolves

Naz gets better the more he plays. When he started when Randle was out, he put up better numbers than him. He really struggled off the bench at times this year. That’s why he needs more minutes and that comes at the expense of Rudy and Randle, and why at least one of them won’t be here long...

What grade would you give the Timberwolves 2025 draft?

When you've lost in back to back WCF, a rookie isn't going to be the person that puts you over the top.

    Dawson Garcia returning

    I guess not

If he's not a starter this year, he will be next year
