Dylan Ray OL from Kentucky Commits

Yeah, hasn’t been much talk of the lack of outgoing transfers, but that has been pretty impressive so far this year as well. Pretty much Daniels being the only substantial loss so far.

Dylan Ray OL from Kentucky Commits

I’d say number one need is a tie between LB and CB and another WR would be a nice bonus.

Wow! ESPN...I mean ABC taking every opportunity to tell us the B1G is over-rated.

I’m someone who dislikes the playoff though. I don’t think any two or three loss teams deserve a chance to be named champion. What was unique about college football was the best team during the entire year was crowned champion, not the team that strung a few wins together at the end of the...

All Things 2024/25 College Football Transfer Portal Thread

QB Tayven Jackson enters the portal for Indiana. I assume he was slated to start for them next year. Could be back to reality for that program.

I mean, we knew Indiana wasn’t the best either, but if we have to do a playoff we aren’t trying to watch three loss teams.

Wow! ESPN...I mean ABC taking every opportunity to tell us the B1G is over-rated.

I think the B1G and SEC clearly have 2-3 teams that could win any other conference this year and a lot of years, but I don’t know why we have to assume a conference is great top to bottom every year just because the champion comes from that conference most often.

Reports of OL Kahlee Tafai Signing

Wow impressive way to recoup from losing Daniels.

I’d put South Carolina in before Ole Miss too.

Well Indiana only had one chance for one. How many losses does a quality win make up for?

    Lindenberg Declares for NFL

Yeah I think he could’ve improved his stock with another year, but he has had injury issues so I understand the move.

    Lindenberg Declares for NFL

I disagree completely. You must not have watched the 2023 season. Also I don’t remember many saying he’d be hard to replace, but he absolutely was when Lindenberg was hurt.

    Lindenberg Declares for NFL

    He’ll be tough to replace.

    The OT Transfer Market

I think Kelly, Bryan, and Bowden are a good starting point at CB. But yeah I think they should add at least one more. LB is also concerning, but does not appear to be a spot the staff is targeting in the portal too hard. Seems like quite a few LB options are available.

    Opting out of Bowl Games

They aren’t in the NFL yet, so why would they be treated like employees?

    Opting out of Bowl Games

He wasn’t a fringe NFL guy, but I agree with the rest. Why would the NFL care if players play in bowl games? In fact, one could argue it’s better for the NFL if the best players do opt out and keep healthy.

Kristen Hoskins - a Gopher recruiting hidden gem

I actually said Holiday, Rainy, and Demps didn’t have success. As to my examples being old, yeah they are, never said small players succeeding is commonplace, just pointing out the type of small players that I’ve seen succeed, they don’t grow on trees obviously.

ESPN: College football transfer portal Insider (Five teams off to a good start: Minnesota)

One good thing with this strategy is you don’t get stuck having to take on a marginal talent or someone of questionable character or just someone you haven’t had a chance to evaluate thoroughly because you have to fill spots late.

    Total Change in recruiting

I would say the schedules of those four had a lot to do with it.

Kristen Hoskins - a Gopher recruiting hidden gem

Joking aside, I do think you were on to something with this one. I think Hoskins speed was probably exaggerated, but also let’s not just assume he can’t be a good player just because the coaches haven’t given him the opportunity.

    Total Change in recruiting

But one could argue it is making it much easier for top programs to maintain their standing as they basically just trade top end talent with other top programs and can lure top talent from lower ranks as well.
