Strack: Treyton Thompson Makes Case For Larger Role; Ben Johnson Unsure

Developing a bench is for guys that can still contribute in small doses, without derailing the entire team in their short stints. We have proof of TT doing this once, lets give Ben some more leash here in why he has held these guys out. Just playing in practice alone is the main way you...

***OFFICIAL IOWA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Great rational post! Well said, Ben is racing in the indy 500 with a geo metro, if anyone actually thought we were making the big dance this year I'm sorry, but your objective skills need to be assessed. This is a scrappy and fun group to watch if you accept the reality of their makeup.

    Jayden Pierre

Not surprised, you could tell he had an extra level respect for Providence coaches, and its closer to home in the East.

***OFFICIAL BOWLING GREEN AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Exactly, was just about to post this. They were talking about him being a 1st rounder 2 yrs ago. I though ridiculous then, and now crazy.

All Things Gophers Basketball Class of 2022 Recruiting Thread

Exactly, if he was fully set on Providence would have done it right after the visit, or right after MN coaches were there, telling them thank but no thanks. Clearly is on the fence, and with MN being further from home, I imagine distance is an issue, leading to more hesitation, but more time =...

    Justin Walley

And he is a Freshman, which is even more impressive. Have had too many timid and out of position CB's over the last 20 yrs, looking great so far, hope he continues to progress.

Ahjany Lee Offered, Class of 2022

Geez give it a rest guys, its as simple as the competition he will be facing daily in practice, and on game days. Byron is a town of what 6k, and is playing some low grade talent weekly in the HVL ( I know I grew up in this area of MN) compared to what is in TG's conference/cites. Plus its 1...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

It was a take that had a higher probability of being right early in the game then wrong. At least he made a predication, took a shot, not everyone is nastradomous after the fact like you. Gopher D has rather sucked this year so far up till today

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Don't get too cocky, before this week we thought we only had one maybe, with Potts. Other than Irving, I don't think we can be confident on anyone else. Plus Colorado sucks, lets play a real team before we get too pumped.

Agree, or next best QB, we need to see what we have there, establish a clear back up.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Exactly, Colorado has 30 yards or something like that, which is way more an indication of the poor offense, which is confirmed in actually watching the game, and realizing we are not going to go from a weak looking D last 2 weeks, to looking like the best D a week later. D playing well, but...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

If you are going to get this Tanner Morgan the rest of the year, why not just put in the most athletic QB on the team who is also a decent thrower. The delayed handoff option deal would be lethal with a running QB, with Tanner it is non-existent. I like Tanner, and I think he has a solid floor...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Lol I googled the coach's name for the Bison, I thought it was Leslie at first. The difference is, Leslie is in the NFL, the rah rah great communicator with all aspects of the team is not as important in the NFL as it is in college with young men.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

At least he his a great communicator and inspiring coach, while yes being over the top. I mean the other coach has been on TV for like 30 secs during timeouts, I haven't seen him interact with one other person other than like a brief pat on the back. PJ is over the top, but as long as the...
