I think the difference between Voss and Koi is Voss has been a four star recruit since his sophomore year. Seemed like Koi jumped up the recruiting rankings his senior season. Voss has a lot more Power 5 offers than Perich did at this point.
Within the last 10 days the junior from Jackson has picked up offers from Miami and Auburn. I got a feeling it's gonna be tough for PJ to keep this kid home.
I imagine Esch will be at Minnetonka for the rest of his coaching career. Not sure how long that will be. He was 29 when he took over at Mankato West, so must be 47 or 48 now. I don't think he will be one of those guys that coaches into his 60's.
Curious to know how many coaches have led multiple programs to a state championship? That list can't be very long. Only one I know off the top of my head is Dave Nelson (Blaine and Minnetonka).
Championship week! My champs in bold.

It's really a shame you have to pay to watch these semi final games. A lot of good matchups in all classes with the new seeding format. Prep45 channel streams semi finals for state basketball and hockey. They even stream state hockey quarterfinal games. Not sure why they can't do the same for...
Semi Final Picks

Mountain Iron Buhl over Hills Beaver Creek
Fertile-Beltrami over LeRoy-Ostrander
1A:
Mahnomen/Waubon over Springfield

I don't know how Mankato doesn't have a turf field. The fact that JWP with an enrollment of 211 has one and East or West doesn't is pretty bad. Almost every other school in the Big 9 has had a turf field for 10 plus years it seems like.
My predictions for tonight in 6A and 5A:
6A
Lakeville North over Champlin Park
Lakeville South over Anoka
Minnetonka over Mayo
Blaine over Forest Lake
Edina over Eagan
Maple Grove over EP
Shakopee over STMA
Prior Lake over Mounds View
5A
Owatonna over Rochester JM
Mankato East over...
The better team won Saturday. East was without their top WR in the jug game. First drive of the game East went 80 yards on 5 passing plays. They just had better skill position players this year than West did. Hope they can knock off Chanhassen and get to the state tournament for the first time...
