I posted this in another thread but that was one of the most watched BTN Hockey Games ratings-wise and the number was sad. College Hockey is a niche of a niche. I love it, but it has maximized its audience and that audience is pretty small.

Other factors play into attendance including what you said in the second part. And attendance is hardly the only way to measure fan interest. We will just have to agree to disagree like we do about splitting a stadium with the Wolves.

I disagree. When the Gophers were winning under Pitino interest was definitely high. The issue was he couldn't sustain and there was always an injury or scandal that killed momentum. Way more casuals and lapsed fans talked hoops than they had before. If Pitino could have kept it going it...

NIL can't come from the school it's a third party payment. School payments come from revenue sharing so student fees for payments would violate that. (If I read right I'm hardly an expert)

There already is a Gopher Towing...or at least there used to be.
